keyframing a parrent

im making a “lift heavy object” animation. how do i keyframe a parrent? så that when he picks it up it will follow the hand IK.

You should use a Child-of constraint. So the object to be picked up has a Child Of constraint with the hand-IK bone as the target. When you want the object to be influenced by the hand bone you set the Influence to 1 and when not you set the influence to 0. You can always move the object independent of the hand, but if the influence is set to 1 it will also move when you move the hand.
