Improve pixelated clouds in above Earth scene?

Hello

I’m working on my first blender project, and have been following the excellent Earth in cycles tutorial from blender guru. I have gotten hold of cloud data from a geostationary satellite and am using this as my cloud image texture. I’ve attached an example image.

As you can see, one problem is that at high latitudes (or more specifically high satellite zenith angles) the spatial resolution of the cloud data becomes poor, and there is a fair bit of pixelation in the storm system to the left of the image.

So my question is, how could I fake a more realistic cloud appearence from this data? Being new to blender and not having any intuition about what to try, I would very much appreciate any ideas that I could explore. For example, I was wondering if there is something like a ‘randomised fluffiness factor’ which might act to remove the pixelation.

Many thanks
