I can’t divulge the story behind this at the moment, but I set up the scene using blender, then did a paintover in KRITA with blue on a white background, then printed it out on heavy paper and inked it by hand. Then added the color in KRITA after scanning it in.

Interesting method. Using the armatures is a good idea.
