@rarebit: You might want to cool down a little. I’m obviously not getting the irony here…
Btw.: If you have another title for your entry - just let me know.
Read the news… Germany shouting the odds but being hypocritical as usual. Why we left the EU, not Europe, we are always Europe… Helge, no irony, simple truth, be a denier if you must, but German politicians are the worst, and today their excuse for avoiding the bill, yup, blame the US… So you’ll take the same line on any politics, or just ones which implicate Germany? Germany may think it rules Europe, but things are changing…
@rarebit: Not sure where this is coming from. As far as I remember I didn’t say anything about NATO, german politics, Trump… And certainly, I’m not going to discuss things this way. As you know, I’m always happy to talk about whatever topic arises - so
if there is anything you need to get off your chest - just send me an email.
Regarding your entries topic: Your images name (nato.png) was all I found on this matter. If you would like to change it - just let me know. (Censorship? - I honestly don’t get it.)
Lambert / Ward Iso with near max Mirror, half Fresnel, higher than normal Blend, plus some stuff in front of the scene (i.e. behind the camera) for reflections.
Procedural textures for this material are several Clouds affecting Nor and Color variously (mapped along normals and reflections).
You didn’t state if it is pure, open or non-competing. So, from my point of view, it could just have been a random nato flag.
Speaking of avoiding the subject: If you don’t answer my question or tell me which part of your post should be your entries title, I don’t know what to do. I won’t start guessing.
Believe it or not: I hope you are fine, I’m getting a little worried here.
I’ve dabbled in Cycles a few times, but, in comparing it with my more substantial experiences in Blender internal, I much prefer the speed and the ease I personally feel with the internal renderer in conjunction with its respective render nodes.
There are some truly amazing Cycles works out there, and I am grateful that exists as an option for Blender. My GPU is not currently where it needs to be to run that as fast as I’d prefer.
After over a decade of working with the internal renderer, I am still convinced I am yet to exhaust its potential, be if for realistic results, NPR renders, and everything else between and beyond.
Only recently did I start experimenting with FreeStyle render possibilities, and I have yet to explore more deeply such things as material nodes in BI.
That is probably true for almost every government Looking at the world, things are getting a little embarrassing lately. However, the UK/Germany relationship doesn’t appear to be that broken to me… but (as always) that probably depends on who you ask/listen to.
Good to know. Actually, that would have been strange - last time I checked my overall influence on german politics was rather limited…
