I would like to install this add-on, but I don’t know how/where to find a downloadable copy. I have found the script online, copied it to the clipboard. I then pasted it into the Blender text editor and saved it. But when I try to “install from file” I get this error:
I tried to add the code but got an error here that it’s too long.
And if you copy GxAV.py directly to \BlenderFolder\2.78\scripts\addons ?

I did try that too. However, the link you gave me shows a slightly different script. Your link leads to a file that was copyrighted in 2013. The version I found says it’s version 0.5, release date is 11/02/2014. But then in your link, it says in the code that it’s version 1.0. I’ll try your link and report back.

Tried it, but it didn’t work. I get an error that the source file is in the add-on search path:(here it shows the path to 2.78/scripts/add-ons) and it doesn’t install.
Tried with the link above
Opened the link in a browser (or just RMB on the link and File / Save as)
Saved the page to my desktop ensuring it saved as the .py file
In blender 2.78 in the User Preferences / Addons panel used the Install from File option selecting the .py file
Enabled the addon without any errors
