Keeping an objects axis the same while array along 3d curve.

Hi I was just wondering if it was possible to keep an object oriented to a specific axis as it is arrayed along a curve? For instance in my picture below, I’d like to keep the lampposts aligned on the z axis and have them be standing upright all along the path instead of having their z axis change as the curve moves through the elevation.

Ah great, that should work nicely, thank you.

this pos just doesn’t want to work

Frame duplication

Doesn’t need a separate mesh with array and curve modifiers for duplication, but does need a limit rotation constraint to keep the object in upright orientation.

Thanks for replying JA12.

So far I’ve tried the other method mentioned here and it has issues aligning the objects along the curve in terms of x and y, because clicking the rotation option also causes it to follow the z. I’ve not had time to try your method just yet but I’ll give it a go when I got a moment.

Cheers.
