How to create normal, reflection textures etc. ?

Hey there,
I was looking into creating photorealistik material whit normal, reflection and gloss textures…
I have the diffuse texture, but how do I created the others ?
I tried to created them with gimp and crazybump but didn’t like the workflow and results.
Do you have any recommended software to use or any tips?

Hi

Maybe I can help a little.

Use a Environment Texture in Properties - Surface…And some light…Sun or other light…You need light to see Normal/Bumpmap
better.

You need a object there can reflect…Glass - steel…Eg.

You have a diffuse texture…In Node Editor…Add a Mix Node a Glossy shader…And a layer weight.

Mix Node go in Materiale out…Difffuse and Glossy Node go in Mix shader…Shader…Layer weight go in Mix Node…Fac.

Now look at the settings and play with them…Also look in the light/Lamp properties and play with the size.

For normal/Bump there are different way to make it.

A easy…Cheap way to do it…Is just plug the diffuse Green button into Materiale out Displacement.

If You want to get a little control over it…You can add Converter - Math Node…Change the add to Mutiply
and play with Value.

Crazybump is a real good Tool to make bumpmap…And other map…Hm…

Im’ a noob…So this is just to give You some idea…Puff Puff

Thanks for your help
I am sorry if I wasn’t clear, I know how to set up a material in blender. The only problem I have is that I use diffuse, reflection, gloss, normal … Textures to create these materials. And I was wondering if you know about a software to create these textures?

You are clear…It’s Me there can’t read…

I found a few tools that I think look promising:
a free alternative to CrazyBump is AwesomeBump:
http://www.awesomebump.besaba.com/
and the software I chose is Substance B2M:
