[HELP] Minecraft Animation Characters

Hello there. I am very new to blender, just got it today… I was originally use mineimator for all my animating needs but I never was able to master animating on it. I was told mineimator was just a super easy mine craft animating tool for beginners. However, I was able to produce really good picture work on there so I will continue to use it for pictures. I knew blender would be another option which gave much more perks and tools especially for rendering. I am very new but I am pretty good with the basics. Since, mineimator was basically strictly mine craft I could just make a mine craft character by the push of a button. I have no idea how to make characters on mineimator I have seen videos about downloading a rig… But I want to make my own style of characters since it would be no fun using a character that anyone else could use. I want to make my own style of character… For example, in mineimator we could search up a players name and the skin would be saved then what I did was I opened the skin in the files with paint.net. Then I erased squares from the skin like the eyes, mouth, normal skin, etc. Once I opened the edited skin, I took a grass block… I resized it, colored it white, and put it in the transparent part in the character. Then i would make another one with different colors and put it in infront. Here is some of the results I got: Mouth results -> http://i.imgur.com/5MerUtH.png Eye results -> http://i.imgur.com/qMwcAwy.png
What I am looking for is the really nice characters you tubers usually use for songs like this one: http://i.imgur.com/Uz2sYGK.jpg
Is it possible to get characters like this in blender?

Yes.

Hi, Welcome to blender
If you are looking for already made characters, have a look at blendswap, there are some minecraft characters there
For tutorials on how to create your own have a look at the youtube channel of BornCG. He has tutorials from modeling to rigging a minecraft character

I’ll second KoekieMonsters post, the minecraft tutorials are really good and they take you all the way from modelling to animating. Also, in a similar vein, check out the lego character ones, same principal more or less.
This takes you all the way through the character creatino and rigging for Minecraft:

This is for the Lego character:

Enjoy!
