I’m trying to find a way to import DXF with embbeded ACIS solids into Blender.
I don’t know much about programming. (just a little Visual Basic)
How difficult would it be for me to learn enough as to be able to write this import? Am I dreaming to much?

yes, it can be done. Python isn’t that hard to learn, I’d suggest you start by looking at other python scripts
also, I don’t know what you mean by “ACIS solids,” it is entirely possible that you lack the math experience needed to import them, but as I said, I have no idea
so, do you have docs on this file format somewhere? you can learn python pretty well from python.org and don’t forget the blender api docs on blender.org:
