Copy and paste via Control C and Control V is not working at all… Whats the issue?
Are you copy/pasting in the 3D view? The screen shot provided shows the outliner view, and you can’t copy/paste there. Your mouse pointer needs to be in the 3D view, then ctrl-c/ctrl-v and then, look in the outliner to see that the second copy is there.
Shift-D is the more proper way to duplicate objects. Alt-D if the geometry needs to stay the exact same.
