moving between zbrush and blender

hi Guys.

Im new to Blender… so hi all… previously I just used zbrush and nettfab.

I’m a 3D sculptor, but until now I always worked for 3D print, so no rigging, animation, maps or materials needed.

I’m looking for tutorials about moving between zbrush and blender, as I want to take my completed retopologised sculpts with their maps, and import to blender to rig and animate before using in unreal engine.

if anyone has any links to useful threads or tutorials that cover the best work flows to achieve this can you link them here for me please.

I’m pretty good for getting from blender into unreal, its more the zbrush to blender side of things that’s unknown to me.

many thanks

Export / import as .obj files just as for any other 3d application
or
GoB addon https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Import-Export/GoB_ZBrush_import_export

Export maps from ZBrush either one at a time or Multi Map exporter, import textures by loading in the texture panel. As for other applications you may need to flip vertically to match UVs

For polypaint https://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?350549-polypaint-vertex-paint-ZBrush-to-Blender

thank you… much appreciated. Im having some issues with orientation, all my models seem to be rotated 90 degrees n import :frowning: otherwise im starting to find my feet… im sure Ill have a thousand noob questions over the coming weeks…
