[Mentor][AUS-NSW] Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award Assessor

Hello, I am a high school student in Sydney, Australia. This year I want to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award as a silver participant:
http://www.dukeofed.com.au/

One of the components of the award is “skills”. The purpose of the skills component is to “Challenge myself to improve my skills and widen [my] interests”. It involves me choosing a skill (in this case Blender/CG) and working on improving that skill continually over the course of the school year. In order for me to choose this as my skill I need someone to act as an “Assessor”. Unfortunately it can’t be my mum or dad, so I’m asking for a volunteer - basically this means you would spend an hour or two once a month this year “supervising me” (by email).

Your (Assessor) Requirements:
As an Assessor your job is to essentially check my progress in the chosen award section and make sure I'm not cheating. (For other activities that may be outdoors or dangerous you would also need to teach and supervise me, but that is not necessary here).

What you need:
- A valid[Working with Children Check](https://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/child-safe-organisations/working-with-children-check) (and by extension you must live in NSW)
- If you don't have one volunteers can get them for free, by applying online and proving their identity at an RTA/NSW government office.

- Some kind of experience with my chosen skill, I don't think it even needs to be in a professional capacity.
- You also need to be 18 years or older.

What you do:
- Each month I'll send you (probably via email) a rundown of what I've done as proof that I've been completing the award. I guess your job is to say "well done" and make sure I'm not lying or otherwise cheating (plagiarism, mostly).
- Commit to this for about 12 (I'll need to check this, it might actually be 6) months
- At the end of the award you may be asked to write a short(!) piece on my progress throughout the award.

What you get:

Honestly, there isn't much incentive to doing this kind of thing, which is why its kinda hard to find an assessor in the first place. That being said volunteering would look good on a resume, training the future generation and being a leader and all that josh.

If anyone is interested in doing this, or has any questions, send me a PM and we'll discuss it.
