why is the video image smaller?

if there is an easier way of doing this please let me know (2.69)
we have a kodak easyshare m1020 digital picture frame.
we wish to make a slide show to put on it.
everything we try - the result does not fill the 800x480 frame. even when we set that as the size.
when i make a blender slide show (rough draft included) it does fill the frame. (xvid)
but when i use the same file but just put the other software created video on the same plane …
well see for yourselves - it is the right proportions but the wrong size!
the right hand side is the video - notice the black around it (not sky - that is the green bit)

PS making a real slideshow with blender is possible but very tedious (array does not work for that - i tried)

maybe some softwares put the black around the movie!

Why using planes in the first place? Blenders VSE is easily capable of doing slideshows. AS long AS you don’t want to create 3d transitions, that is.

well VSE failed.
the video when made with the plane works in the kodak frame.
same settings- same video is not accepted by the frame.
sometimes software does not make sense
