i used the search thingy expecting it to show up.
how do i tell blender to open them, and blend2 files

I haven’t been in windows for years, but if I recall correctly, you should be able to right click one, choose “open with…” scroll down the list and find Blender. Then there should also be a check box to use Blender as the default program to open those files.

thanks- i will have to find where blender planted itself on the computer!

Hi

Blender is where You install it…Or from where You run Blender…You do not need to Install Blender…:slight_smile:

Blend file is where You saved it…Same is Blend…1…2…Etc.

You don’t see them in the Default Browser…You have to turn them on…lLook below top Menuline.

There is a lot small Icon…:)…Hower mouse over them one off them turn Blend…1…2…On.

Just select Blend file and open…:slight_smile:

well the problem is when i click onto a blend1 or 2 and say open with it wants to install the blender software (with name unknown on it)

Just remove the number off of the file extension and you should be gtg.
