Blender on a Macbook

I know this has come up a couple times in the past, but I cant find anything recent enough to be applicable. I am looking to get a 12-inch Macbook to run Blender. I currently run it on a fully tech-ed out desktop, but need something portable for on the road. I am only using it to model basic organic objects (ie a feather, a leaf, a seashell) mostly just using the sculpt and mesh edit tools to be exported for external use. I would not need to do any rendering. Does anyone know if either of the current macbook specs are suitable?

  1. 1.1GHz dual-core m3 (turbo boost to 2.2GHz)
    8G memory
    256G flash storage

  2. 1.2GHz dual-core m5 (turbo boost to 2.7GHz)
    8G memory
    512G flash storage

Thanks!

Go to the Apple Store with a copy of Blender and a few projects on a pendrive and try yourself. For very small projects on the road it should be ok.

Thanks for the tip. I will try that! Cheers
