Ahh i just lost my kids claymation animation !! Im in 6.9 have they fixed this yet? Blender should not over write a file it should just ad a 2 to it. It over writes the file Im using to make the animation. then it goes blank because the file is gone. Its kinda prehistoric. ahhh!! shoot!!
Oh man, sorry to hear that! you know, you can recover a old file in blender by going to: file>Recover Auto Save, if that helps.
