unintentional miniturization - Sketchup to blender import

I made a nice, properly scaled wooden barrel in sketchup, exported as .dae, and imported to bender. In Sketchup, it was units in inches, which is what I was told was the best equivalent to blender. The problem is that it comes into blender so tiny I can’t find it, and when I use the outliner I can’t seem to increase the size. How do I get it to import at a reasonable size?

The file should be xml so you can check the units and dimensions are exported as intended. Blender collada import options have import unit option. Could also scale the object by selecting it from the outliner and set the dimensions in the 3d view properties, then apply scale afterwards (ctrl+A -> scale).

first off, what measurement you use does not matter as long as its real world scale. i use metric myself.

go here and set it to inches. see if that helps.

this will change the scale of your scene and not your objects.
