As the Cassini Huygens is coming to its end this year, i wanted to honour the work so many people poured into this project with a little insignificant artwork 
As modeling reference i used a mesh supplied by NASA and then remodeled the spacecraft with this and photo references.
Rendered with Cycles.
Modeled with Blender 2.78c.
Textures done with substance designer (aside of the rings, which were made from a photo)

Nice rendition!
The background looks like one of the raw photos from Cassini, but the dark side of the planet looks a bit too bright, especially compared to the very sharp shadow on the rings.
Or is the background actually a photo?

The rings seem to reflect some light onto the dark side of the planet, but not enugh light is then scattered back onto the ring to make it less black.
The background is 3d, you can see some wip images in the artstation link with suzanne floating next to it
