I’ve always had trouble with especially glossy surfaces rendering with these harsh white spots, and I know I must be doing something wrong. What is the best way to get rid of these? You can see it most clearly on the letters in this test render, and a little bit along the edge of the desk.
If you haven’t already, under Render Properties->Light Paths turn off Reflective Caustics and bump up Filter Glossy
Hi,you can check indirect clamping.
Start with 2 or higher.
Cheers, mib
Well darn, I really thought at least one of those things would do it I’m still messing with the settings, but I can’t seem to produce any change whatsoever, either with the caustics or clamping.
