I can't place evenly leaves around the tree

Hi!
I’d like to create the tree with ivy leaves around it. The leaves must be spaced evenly around the tree. I’ve spent a lot of hours trying to do it but I still got bad result. Anybody can help me?

I haven’t used it for a while, but there was an addon for this: https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Curve/Ivy_Gen

You’re welcome. But consider that this doesn’t make the leaves as particles. It makes uv-mapped planes if I remember correctly.

Could you check what I can do using the particles system? I don’t want to use Ivy Gen

I’ve solved this problem. I selected a tree and I applied Apply - Location, Rotation, Scale. Then I changed Emission - Faces.
