Created this using hair particles. Wish I had it in real life…
Some kinda demon head thingy I guess. The background was going to be used as the HDRI, but I was like, “meh, looks fine”.

Made a few tests of bubbles using Cycles. Got bored at #3 and decided to turn them into planets instead. They look a bit 2d though…

I would like to have the first one in real life, too! 
Interesting choice to recycle bubbles as planets… I would not have thought of that! 
I think the Bubbles would look less 2D in a more complex environment. Maybe you could try it out with an HDR map and see how it turns out?
