Concept Art - Blade of the Sea


This is a concept painting I finished today for a 3d illustration I’ll be working on this month in Blender.

I’ll be sculpting the terrain, creating foliage, water, an ancient katana, and a few samurai along the way. Currently the plan is to utilize MakeHuman for a jump on the background characters, and I’ll be doing the rest directly inside Blender. I’m also going to retopo and try to create some PBR shaders inside Substance. Haven’t played a lot with PBR yet so this will be a good test project.
