Needs some critique. Forms modelling etc

the materials are obviously really basic but i would like the critique to be on the character itself if and how it can be improved.

he’s hard to relate to. I think you should give him some more expressive feature to give him character.

Can you post a wireframe render? Maybe even a part-by-part wireframe? That will help in understanding how you went about constructing him so your modeling can be assessed.

I’d love to get a bit of backstory to help assess the design decisions.
His feet seem to be skis? I’m guessing he’s based in a snowy environment? His forearms also appear to double as shields? Is he perhaps a defensive unit?

Also just something to note on the silhouette. It may be difficult to tell which direction he’s looking. I’m guessing the eye part lights up?

You could use the bevel modifier on orange parts and grey parts. The legs could be more accurate. Like the arms put some leg armor or shields…

I would work a bit on the edges, edges wear over time, regardless it’s looking pretty good it has a nice silhouette
