why does the video stop after 100 frames

i joined videos and stills in the video editor.
120 frames long and just what i wanted.
put the video on a plane in a new blender 2.69 file and the video stops at 100 frames.
both files are set the same, 120 frames 24 fps etc.
the second one is set to make 120 images so i can make a gif.

maybe try to increase number of frames of video in object mode.

Under the Scene → Time Stretching → By default it was Old-100, New-100. I changed it to 1,1 and it worked !
