Botan Dôrô / The Peony Lantern

Personal Project: A Poster for the Japanese Ghost Story Botan Dôrô narrated by rakugo artist San’yutei Encho in 1884. I was really captured by a short version of the story translated and collected by Lafcadio Hearn, so I decided to make a scene in Blender.

This is very creepy… I love it.

@safetyman, thanks man, means a lot. It was intended to be creepy… at least a bit

Holy shh… wow. Someone needs to hire you quick!

Thank´s Charlie A. This really means a lot. Especially ´cause I did this project right after a job that I had high hopes with but doesn´t turn out well for me. I spent over 650h and in the end I had to cut about 60% of my charge. As a selfemployee/freelancer I´m used to cut of about 20-30% most of the time, but this one was really blood-sucking.
So in order to not loose my confidence and motivation within blender I did this project in about 4 days.
I got a new paid project going so its all good. Thanks again;)

this is a wicked picture man, good job and keep it up!! i wanna get that good soon too

I love it when someone does something creep-looking instead of cartoony. More please
