Is it possible to use a Gamepad in Blender?

This is a bit of an odd question to ask, but I’m wondering if its possible to use a gamepad inside of Blender for moving the camera around and emulating mouse input?

With something like joy2key (or other OS equivalent) you could. Shift F in the viewport gives FPS style navigation via WASD & arrow keys. Map your joystick to either of those and away you go.
