Hip/Leg Rig assistance needed

I have include a quick and slight change to your blend. Your weight paint is off. Your bone positions need to follow your topology closer. You can always add another bone to “hold position”. You need to check preserve volume in your armature modifier. You can improve your topology by having your mesh resemble your muscles. (Another words, follow the way your mesh will stetch.)

I took your file and did a quick 5 minute change. Added a bone. Positioned your bones. Did a super fast weight paint to get you going. Take a look at Dan’s tutorial. You are really not correctly weight painting for a rig. There is a big difference for an armature.
