How to export Gimp layers to individual files?

Hi everyone!

I have a Gimp file containing many layers. Each represents an animation frame. Now I need to export each layer to individual files, so that I can import it to other animation software/s.
I found this plug-in called Export Layers. However, although I did put the files where instructed it is not showing in the File menu as it is supposed to :frowning:
More specifically:
I copied both the .py file and the export_layers folder to my Gimp plug-ins folder.
I noticed that I did not find my plugins folder exactly where mentioned in the instructions though. This may be the reason (?). This is where mine is in Windows 10:

C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins

I am using Gimp 2.8.18

According to the instructions I was supposed to find the Plug-ins folder here:
[your home folder]\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins

Is there a solution to this problem anyone here knows about?

I am open to using other software or plug-ins, or methods.

Thank you so much for your help and time guys

Never mind guys!
It turns out there is a 2nd plug-ins folder precisely where the author instructed: [your home folder].gimp-2.8\plug-ins

Now I can see the option to export the layers.
