I revived this old scene and finished it, any comments and criticism appreciated.
Looks a bit too clean/new and shiney. Roof might benefit from being a bit more mat.
looks great, i think with a few more objects on the shelf (books, picture frame, a souvenir) and a hint of a carpet near the camera (so most of the wood reflections will still be visible) the scene is going to gain personality…
i remember a tip for architectural scenes (but not who said it, maybe Andrew Price in a video): try to imagine the person who is living in the room and kind of create a story… a traveler will have souvenirs and pictures, a guy who likes to work out will have weights under the shelf, a biker will have an helmet, a mountain hiker will have mountain shoes and so on…
i remember thinking it was a very good tip, as i usually don’t know how to fill details in a room :-)…
