Blender to World Editor (WED) for X-Plane10

Hello!

So, I’m trying to make a model for my grandfather for his X-Plane simulator. He uses WED World Editor to place the models into the simulator. Problem was, WED didn’t seem to want to recognize the model. I exported it as a .obj, I made a .mtl and a .png, I pretty much did everything I thought I could to make the file look like other files accepted by WED, but it didn’t seem to want to see the file. Does anyone know if I’m supposed to do something special with .obj files from Blender in order to bring them into WED? I’m having trouble finding anything that really explains what to do or what I might be missing.
