Help a newbie to make my hover tank move

Help a newbie to make my hover tank moveHello All,
My name is Richard and I am just trying my hand at a basic game. I’m looking to create a seek and destroy kind of game featuring the player in a hover tank. however I am not sure how I would achieve a realistic hover effect in blender game engine. Im hoping to achieve an effect something like the movement in this video https://youtu.be/PKCH1NoC3jQ jump to about 8 min 30 for a good look at the kind of movement I want to achieve. I would like my tank to be able to move forward, backward, steer left and right, side strafe and vertical jump a couple of meters.
A screen shot of my basic model of a hover tank inspired by the grizzly tank from battle zone 1.

Any advice on the model is welcome too. I haven’t textured yet as I want to test my hard points in game.
Thanx in advance.
Also As I said I’m really new to this so I might be making a lot of mistakes.
Richard.

it’s strange to ask that question here, if you ask google:
https://www.google.nl/search?q=character+movement&oq=character+movement&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.3673j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=character+movement+blender+tutorials

lots of result and tutorials to learn from.

anyway easiest way is, open the logic editor and add a few keyboard bricks connect them with motion actuators, set the speeds you like, and it will move, also use a mouse (movement) brick connect it to a mouse actuator put it on mouselook. now you can move/look with mouse movement as well.
