Normal Texture Coordinate for Blender Cycles

So I have this basic circle textures with inner glow and added brush, as you can see on the preview window.
In Blender Internal, I can map this as alpha image texture to the object Normal to fake Fresnel, creating a ‘glowing transparent orb’ effect.

However, I fail to achieve the same effect in Cycles.

I guess I’m using the nodes incorrectly?
Can someone help me to achieve that effect of Blender Internal in Cycles? Thank you

Blendfile attached.
Blender-Orb.blend (508 KB)

this is the best i could do. im sure there are better ways to do it, but not that i could find without doing any research.

this only works while looking through the camera, but you can lock camera to view. what i did was split the sphere form the star, and make the star track the camera. then i simply did a UV map and project from view.

Good enough for me! Thank you very kindly ^^
