Dynamic paint displace

Hey everyone.

A blender newcomer, maybe 2 weeks or so into it but I have been blown away by how awesome it is…

That being said I’m having a heck of a time getting the look I’m going for in this animation…It’s a medical device so it needs to be precise. I can think of several ways to accomplish it but they would be hokey.

I’m using dynamic paint, with a remesh and smooth modifer on it. Without them it ends up just overlapping. I am assuming it’s because of the way the orbs are rotating that it ends up messing up the geo.

In the example render it doesn’t look like the orbs are penetrating the walls of the vein, but I can assure you they are. The weird glitch towards the end I think is coming from the boolean I am using to cut off the excess geo.

I’m at a loss for how to get past these issues I’m having…
