How to conform SVG to mesh

I’m a rookie… I’d need some advice or help how to conform vector graphics SVG that is supposed to be a road and apply it to some mesh that is supposed to be a square km.

command: alt C
oh wait…you want to leave it a curve…I read it as ‘convert’, sorry. you should try retopo ( surface snapping ).

KianE0n . Use the ShrinkWrap Modifier. Here’s a screenshot on what settings to use in the modifier:

If you have trouble setting it up, you can grab that sample blend file here if you want to open it up and see how it works.

The good thing about ShrinkWrap Modifier is that it’s live, so if you adjust the target mesh or curve - the projection will update automatically.

It’s great that you take the time to help people.
At the same time, you should try not to mislead people by giving them wrong advice, sometimes it can have quite the opposite effect of what you intended.

Thanks for the help both of you. Still I’m having trouble doing it right. And I wonder how should I allign it all.
This might be pushing it a bit but, could you do this thing for me just this once? Pretty please ^^

here’s a file you can look at.
the thing is your SVG does not match the terrain/map perfectly. you can now go into edit mode on this curve, enable Proportional Editing, and match it to the map. shouldn’t take too long.

Thank you very much.
Oh, this is some valuable information.
I’ll commit to it first thing tommorow morning and reply about the outcome.

Edit: Now that I think about it… Would it be better to just use the knife tool and cut the road and somehow smooth it? How would you approach it?

I’d like to make a MMO racing game with 1996 3D graphics.

Edit: I got help… heightmaps… loop cuts for roads…extruding roads… lots of texture painting and placing objects and planes across the maps.
