Help with putting a 3D model on a video

Hi,

so I just got around to trying some video editing in Blender, and tried putting a hole in my yard according to this tutorial: https://youtu.be/CVPcT0dJmoY. At first I used Blender’s built-in camera tracker and got the job done, but then I found the Voodoo Camera Tracker, which worked much more effortlessly. I got the camera imported to blender, but can’t get my video to show in the background. So, could someone help me out? I’m new to Blender so noob-friendly advice please. I also attached the .blend.

Thanks!

if you want to put a video in the background of your scene you can just:

 • Check the box “Background Images” in your 3D view.
• If you don’t see the side bar, click “View - > properties”. or Hotkey: “N”

 • Browse for your movie clip (click the picture icon)

 • Pick the view you want it to be on from “Axis” (e.g. just the camera view, all views…)

 • Preview the image through the camera: “View -> Camera”. or Hotkey: NumPad “0”
Nice seeing the 2.2x colors! Reminds me of when I started back with 2.21
