Using Render Layers AND Passes on EXR File Output node?

Hello,
I need to fix my Multilayer EXR image sequence, and then export them again in the same format with all the render layers and passes for each layer, so everything stays in the same format as before. but I noticed that when I use MultiLayer EXR in the “File Output” node, I can only export different passes (even though it’s described as layers) but I can’t keep the original format of Renderlayers + passes.

Does anyone know if there is some trick to do it?

Hope my question is clear

Set the output node to use openexr multilayer and then the inputs work as layers. The one set in render properties is where composite node outputs, and you might want to set that to have a different path/format.

Thanks for the answer, but I’m not sure if I understood the second part of your answer.
the inputs of the output node are actually used as passes (even that it’s mentioning layers). I’m looking for a way to output both Render layers and passes from the node editor, similiar to the node in the image, not sure if possible at all.
