unwanted holes in mesh?

I am very new to blender and I’ve just been making random objects so I can get the hang of interface. I’m working on a raptor right now and there are these weird holes in the mesh after applying the multiresolution modifier. How could I fix this and/or avoid it happening in the future?



You could try “remove doubles” after selecting all of your mesh with ‘A’ in edit mode.

it could also be that there is internal geometry that you cannot see. use H to hide the outside ones in order to check. alt H to unhide.
