Freelance Character Artist (Animation)
Liquid Animation, one of Australia’s leading Animation Companies is looking for a freelance Character Artist. We value candidates with a positive attitude, a tremendous work ethic and an ability to contribute in a team environment. You will be working together with the Director and lead animators. The character artist is responsible for creating stylized characters in dynamic poses from well known franchises incorporating technical, artistic and basic understanding of animation and knowledge of character design into asset creations for a style guide booklet.
In addition to character designs, other tasks may include; designing key backgrounds, props and graphic elements.
You must have:
· Industry experience is a must
· Exceptional drawing skills in both traditional and digital formats
· Expert in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
· Have a strong background in traditional art skills and demonstrate an understanding of fundamentals like three-dimensional space, composition, perspective, proportion, scale, value, depth and colour theory.
· Motivation and passion
The ability to work both independently and a demonstration of strong artistic interpretation skills are also required.
