Creating my first creature/humanoid for a game?

Hey everyone,

So I am new here on the forums and I am looking for some advice for modeling a game character for a Fallout 4 horror mod I plan to develop. I need to explain this, since modeling for a game usually is quite different from normal modeling as I understand it. I’ve mostly used 2.49, due to project constraints, and it is the version I started learning Blender with.

For my current project, I need to create a simple humanoid creature that has a face that lacks any features. Much like a 3 dimensional shadow. I figured this would probably be a good starting point for learning character/creature creation. This model IS intended as an in-game model for Fallout 4.

I was wondering what method I should be using to create the base mesh?

makehuman has some nice low poly proxy meshes. no need to reinvent the wheel. :slight_smile:
