Any good plugins and tutorials for 2D Artists?

Hi, I’m ad 2D cartoon artist who wants to use Blender, however I have had a difficult time learning Blender (however I am getting better at following tutorials and messing around with simple tools), I have not even made an actual 3D model! I would like to be able to start making cartoon characters (for use in video games) but (like I said) I have no clue on how to make an actual good model as I am very confused. :o
I’d like to see a plugin that makes modeling better for 2D artist like myself. Does anyone know if there is any?

Its not a plugin, but I find that 2d artists usually have an easier time with sculpting tools rather than poly modeling, dont know if you’ve tried those out yet.

are you making 3D or 2D models ?

you can rig anything in blender
but I think 3D gives better results when deforming

happy cl

@Rickyblender I am making 3D models.
@NiklasWerth I’ve tried sculpting, it is pretty good but I haven’t made anything good. Do you know any tutorials that would be good? I wanna make some rubber-hose style cartoon characters.

Check this tutorial out. Should be able to produce a rigged cylindrical character by adapting it. Look up / use a mirror modifier for left & right symmetry / halving the work. Use B Bones / Bendy bones for the rubber-hose style deformation.

Another more 2D option is using the Grease Pencil. Can do procedural / keyframed tweening. I recommend you search youtube for examples and tuts. Plenty reside there. One exampe: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiEY87_6tjSA-SzUitLJXDEYcYjp6-b7A
