Post some images of the undercarriage, or better still post a blend file with just the undercarriage in it and I will take a look. Assuming of course that my bloody delayed plane from Stockholm ever arrives...... grrrrr !!!! Fekkin cheap airlines......

Clock thanks for the offer appreciate it let me try my method first then if I have issues I will just send you a Blend file.
I am trying to do this myself so I can learn :-)
    Sorry about your plane issues.
Maybe build one in Blender and print one out in 3D and just continue your flight in it :-)

This is what happens if you work off different models of the same plane LOL ...
Well it looks like the original plane never had a side door.

Yes I know it doesn't make any sense right?
Maybe there are side doors but they are hidden.
I Googled side door Catalina plane and found nothing.
Either they were hidden and they just didn't use them to get in and out or it didn't have any.
    Interesting though.

    Well I found this.
I don't know if they added this door later though ... or if it was in the original models that came out during the war.

    even better
I saw these small windows but was not certain if they were doors or only windows

    nice find

but is not much picture of blue print for these
not certain might still be another secret from WWII

The side door(s) were probably hidden behind those little Windows.
Makes sense because it would be harder for the enemy to board the plane if it was sitting on the ground or
    on the water.
    Just my thoughts.
I mean ... how would you get cargo onto the plane?
Through those rear windows would be very hard I think.
Not to mention a fast exit in the front if the plane was on fire or tumbling towards the ground.
