Customizing Details on a Vintage Galleon Ship

I am in need of a very detailed model of a vintage galleon ship, the more realistic, the better. I’m considering purchasing a model from the below link, but there is an issue with the lack of detail in it.

https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/old-ship-sails-foam-3d-model/923715#

The model is very well built and exactly what I’m looking for, but after contacting the artist, I found that it contains no texturing or bump maps. As the artist put it, the ship is not meant to be viewed up close. Close up viewing is a must in my case, but I can’t do that when the ship looks smooth and plasticy instead of rough and wooden.

What would be the best course of action here? I’m still new to 3d modeling, so adding the details myself would mean a month of work past the deadline (this is needed as soon as possible). I could request the artist to add details to up the realism in the model, but I’m not sure how long the process would take, or how much detail is available to add. Again, going for as much realism as possible. If anyone happens to have a spare galleon ship model lying around, perhaps that could be an alternative. Or maybe someone here knows how to get this ship to look more photograph-worthy? Any help is greatly appreciated.

For reference, I’m trying to get a look like the model from the link here:

This model is near cinema quality, and that’s exactly what I’m trying to get. But I don’t have $1000 to throw at 3d models, so purchasing it isn’t exactly doable.

well you should contact the artist again sync its specified that this model includes textures:

Old ship with animated sails and foam/splashes.
Ready for rendering in VRAY 2 or 3 version.
realistic Mapping and textures included.
Sails animation in Point Cache files, so you can use it in any 3d programm.
Foam and splashes working with PhoenixFD2.0 plugin.
