Strange Mesh Subdivisions Problem

HI, everyone. I’ve got this strange problem which is hard to describe on my boat mesh, where there are dark spots running along it. I haven’t done anything highly complex with the mesh except extend/move faces just a bit, and extrude. This is essentially a fresh cube I’ve added, scaled to a rectangle, and pulled faces to give it the shape of a boat.


Will those dark space be a problem in the end, or is this some type of graphical glitch, and if so how can I remove it? Thanks!

They wont be a problem, and it isn’t a glitch either. Go into object mode and it will look fine. The subsurf modifier rounds all angles, that is what you see here.
