BSurfaces Error

I’m trying to retopologize a mesh with BSurfaces, but every time I do, I get this error:

I’ve heard that there are specific settings that you have to use to get the addon to work. Here are the steps that I’ve tried:

  1. Switched Grease Pencil Data Source to Object.
  2. Switched Stroke Placement to Surface.
  3. Drew strokes in Object Mode
  4. Switched to Edit Mode
  5. Went to Misc>Bsurfaces>Add Surface

After doing these steps, I get the same error every time. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the addon itself?

I’m using Blender 2.78, by the way.

likely.

Do you have any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong?

No. This is how I did it, compare it to what you’re doing.

Bsurfaces takes what order of strokes you’ve drawn. So it’s the best you do not have 3rd stroke drawn in the middle of the first two .

Even if I draw only two strokes, the same error occurs.

I did exactly what you’re doing (added Suzanne with three subdivisions, added a cube, deleted the cube, drew strokes in Edit Mode, checked Keep Strokes) and I still get the same error.

Solved the issue. It was in the fact that I had BSurfaces installed in two places on my computer. Maybe it’s bundled with Blender and I didn’t realize it, so I installed another one on top of that, causing the issue. I deleted the one I installed and now it works.
