Rivers on a landscape as a separate object...

Hi there,

I have a project where I need rivers to be overlaid on a landscape and follow it’s contours.

I know I could just have them as a part of the texture as so…

but I actually need the rivers as a separate object ( as this will be interactive and the rivers need to be able to be turned off and on, on many textures that will be on the landscape)

So when I import the rivers as SVG’s, they come in as so…

but are curves that look like this close up…

so when I convert this to mesh it gives me triangles all over the place and wont help when I need to Shrinkwrap it to the landscape, so is there any time saving way to speed this up or do I have to manually recreate all the rivers like I have done here for one…

you can have 2 textures, one with the river and one without. and turn them on and off just like you would with the object.

Oh you can, sweet I’ll have to look into that. I’ll be using Blend4web so hopefully that works too.
