new meshes appearing askew depending on camera angle or perspective

I can’t work out how to turn it back to normal but if im looking in top view and ask it to forexample add a cube then it appears aligned correctly and flat to the grid plane, but if i was in a custom view when i add the cube or object it appears completely off angle and not flat then i have trouble re-aligning it. Anyone else having this problem?

Insufficient info. Not even any screenshots or demo .blend file !

In the operator settings when you add the object ensure yo have not enabled ‘Align to View’

To get back to defaults close and re-open blender or ‘File / Load Factory Settings’

It is the ‘Aligned to View’ that is the problem. But i cannot get it to stay turned off i have to un-tick it for every new object i create. I have tried loading factory settings and opening a new blank blend file but it still stays on like a default.

load factory settings, then save user settings, and save startup file.

or you can delete the startup blend in appdata/roaming/blender foundation
