"Selective" Volume Lighting

Hi all,

I’m new to Blender, making the transition from 3D Studio Max. As a learning exercise, I decided to re-create an animation that I did in Max. This animation has a number of volumetric lights. I know how to make the volume lights work in Blender. What I don’t know, is how to make only certain lights volumetric. This is extremely easy in Max, as the effect is applied on a per light basis, but in my Blender scene the main light is rendering as volumetric and obliterating my entire scene. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
