Render in UV/Image editor I don't see nothing

Him i’m new in Blender, I have a photo with alpha background (it is PNG) i want to animate the object that appears in the PNG photo by zooming it and adding to it some rays and glow, ¿is that possible? or is only possible to do it with a real 3D object created in Blender?

I only can see well the png photo if I import it in the “UV/Image editor” but when i hit render, i don’t see nothing, ¿I’m in “compositing mode” when i’m in “UV/Image editor” window? because I’m looking for tutorial about “render in Compositing mode” any help is appreciatted, please

Thank you very much

For sure.

Nope, you’re not. You will have to go to the node editor and go there in compositing mode. Klick on “use nodes” and optionally backdrop:

Delete the renderLayers node and add your image here (works also with drag&drop).
A basic tutorial for creating rays can be found here: https://vimeo.com/101670787
