How to get solidify result without it ?

Hi guys
I have a small problem that may look stupid but i need to solve it.
I made a machine gun where you can see a part of it with holes.

I used Solidify to make it looks more bigger but it doesn’t makes faces. Now I removed solidify from the model but i don’t know how to get it back the same old size ?

Select the faces you want to have the solidify result, extrude it along normal and turn on ‘Even’ during the Modal process.

Or, just apply your solidify modifier, and work from there. May have to clean up those areas where you don’t want any solidified result.

I’m not sure what problem you have with the solidify modifier, and your screen grabs aren’t an exact match. Care to elaborate?

Alt+S should give you the same result after extruding.

Sorry. I did understand you first step. About the other one. will take more time from me.

when apply solidify for my object I make faces more fat or bigger… I don’t know how to explain it.
When i press E to make a new face i get this. It looks like i moving the face not duplicate it.

If i want to make new faces I press E then S. I get the same result of solidify with new faces.

I got this

This is not what solidify do.

Then you’re not doing it right or your mesh has errors, post your blend file.

Using extrude and then Alt+S turns this mesh

Into this (with even scaling)

OK. here is the file.
