i would like to compose a ‘beam’ like u can see below within the blender render compositor. With the help of the screw modifier i came up with the beginning but i have no idea how to properly compose the fade effect on it.
managed to get in done in cycles, saved it als png with alpha and imported it in blender render by image on plane. Still like to know how to appropriate accomplish this in de composer.
Hey there’s a blend texture type that is exactly this shape. Just map it to a plane and rotate the plane (or the texture if you prefer)
